Steve Berg's first novel gives readers a gripping tale of murders, kidnappings, bumbling criminals and one well-sourced, determined reporter. Berg's attention to detail paints a vivid picture to set the scenes; Minneapolis-area readers will recognize many places in the book. I was rooting for some characters and absolutely terrified of others! I truly didn't know how this story would end. There's one plot twist after another; I couldn't put it down for the last couple hours of reading. Highly recommend!

Brilliant compilation of past and present in this international murder thriller. Exciting reading that was hard to put down and filled with twists and turns that lead to an explosive finale. Highly recommended read and worthy of five stars.
